When the answer is
somewhere in the record.
Internal investigations, transaction diligence and disputes turn on documents nobody has had time to read. We read them, organise them into one account of what happened, and put a source behind every sentence — so counsel can argue from it.
How a matter runs
A matter gets a room of its own. The record goes in — agreements, payment files, payroll, filings, correspondence, whatever exists — and comes back organised four ways: one chronology, the questions the applicable standard makes you answer, the documents themselves, and the people.
Two things make it usable rather than merely tidy. Every fact in the chronology names the document it came from, so anyone reading can go straight to it. And the room's assistant answers questions on that matter's record in plain language, citing the document behind each sentence — and reporting an absence as an absence rather than filling it.
See it rather than take our word for it. The demonstration matter is the real product running on invented facts. Start at Ask the matter AI — the citations are the point.
Confidentiality
A room belongs to one matter. Members are invited by name and address; there is no password, and each member signs in with a one-time link that opens that room and expires. Every document opened and every question asked is written to that matter's audit log under the member's name. Removing a member removes the room. Nothing is shared between matters, and nothing about a live matter appears on this website — which is why the demonstration above runs on invented facts.
Where we fit
We are not counsel and do not give legal advice. We work as a vendor to the firm or to the company, under the engagement's privilege arrangements, on the part of the problem that is reading and reconciling a large record quickly and defensibly. Counsel keeps the judgement; we make sure it rests on the whole record rather than the part someone had time to read.
Engaging us
Most matters begin with a scoping call and a written engagement letter naming the scope, the fee basis and who holds the work product. Tell us what the matter is and what the deadline is, and we will tell you whether we are the right vendor for it.
Questions we get asked
How does a matter room keep our material confidential?
A room belongs to one matter. Members are invited by name and email address; there is no password, and each signs in with a one-time link that opens that room and expires. Every document opened and every question asked is written to that matter's audit log under the member's name. Removing a member removes the room. Nothing is shared between matters, and no live matter appears on this website.
What does the matter assistant actually do?
It answers questions on that matter's record only, in plain language, and cites the document behind every sentence. When the record is silent it reports the absence rather than filling it. You can try it on the demonstration matter at slglobal.ai/demo/war-room/ask.html.
Are you a law firm?
No. We are a vendor to the firm or to the company and do not give legal advice. We work on the part of the problem that is reading and reconciling a large record quickly and defensibly.
What kinds of matters do you take?
Information-intensive ones: internal investigations, transaction diligence and disputes — matters that turn on agreements, payment files, payroll, filings and correspondence that nobody has had time to read in full.
How are engagements structured?
Most begin with a scoping call and a written engagement letter naming the scope, the fee basis and who holds the work product.
