Choosing a provider
with open eyes.
An independent transparency resource for families choosing autism services: 12,800+ ABA organizations — who owns them, how they are registered, and what the published record shows.
What it is
ESBAP — the Ethics Standards Board of ABA Providers — is a free, searchable record of U.S. ABA organizations. The underlying record holds 12,800+ organizations as of 4 September 2026; 11,849 of them are in the classified directory today, by ZIP code, name, state and category, with the remainder being classified now.
For each organization it shows what the public record shows: ownership, registration and the published detail a family would otherwise have no way to find.
Why it exists
Families choosing an autism provider are usually choosing in the dark, at the worst possible moment, on a recommendation and a website. The information that would let them choose well exists — it is just scattered across filings nobody has time to read. Putting it in one place is not a favour to families; it is the minimum.
Organizations, not practitioners
ESBAP counts ORGANIZATIONS — the agencies and companies a family would actually engage. Individual practitioners are a separate and larger population, and we do not conflate the two: an organization count labelled as a provider count is a different claim about a different set.
For organizations
An organization can claim its profile and correct its own record. The directory reports what is published, and the organization is the best source for what is current.

Does it cost anything to search?
No. It is free and needs no account.
I run a provider — can I correct our listing?
Yes. Providers can claim their profile and correct their own record.
Does ESBAP count organizations or individual practitioners?
Organizations — the agencies and companies a family would engage. Individual practitioners are a separate and larger population. We do not use one count under the other's label.
Where does the data come from?
The published public record. The directory reports what is published rather than opinions or ratings.
